What is Theater Rocks?
Theater Rocks is a program created by Theater League, Inc. that enables low income, at-risk and special needs children to experience live musical theatre free of charge. Non-profit organizations and Title I schools are eligible to participate in the program. The program is fully funded by the generosity of Theater League Season Members in Eugene. We are committed to providing the magic of live musical theater to all children – despite economic disadvantage or disability.





What schools and organizations are eligible to participate?

  • Title I schools
  • Organizations that serve students/children of whom at least 50% are considered low-income, at-risk, or otherwise under-served youth.
  • Organizations that serve students/children of which at least 50% have special needs.

What does Theater Rocks offer?

  • Theater Rocks provides tickets for children and one chaperone (1 per every 10 children). For children with special needs, tickets for additional chaperones are provided. While fully funded tickets is always the goal – funding may only allow subsidized tickets for your group.
  • Unfortunately, Theater Rocks cannot provide transportation.

Can extra tickets be purchased?
Yes, additional tickets can be purchased at a discounted rate for family members of Theater Rocks participants or additional staff. Discount subject to show approval.

What show(s) can we see?
Each season, Theater Rocks will select shows from the Broadway in Eugene season to be included in this special program. For 2017-18, participating shows are: Finding Neverland, Disney’s The Lion King (select performances only), Evita and Wicked (select performances).
